Invitation to disagree/ share
The words used in Hebrew to describe separation and sharing have the same infinitive. In order to turn debate from a burden into an asset, we will study how to use initiated debate and to produce advantages from it that expand, deepen and sharpen our knowledge and that promote conflict-based discussion.
Starting point: Debate as a value
How has Jewish culture developed throughout the generations through the study of disputes? What are the basic rules for holding a proper debate?
The political engine driving polarization and division
Exposure of the hidden forces that shape divisive discourse, experimentation with role-playing and acquisition of tools for identifying manipulation, disinformation and political campaign strategies.
Poisonous propaganda
What is consumed and where? Principles and practical tools for evaluating and identifying the quality and reliability of digital information and for promoting responsible consumption of quality information.
The economics of attentiveness
Analysis of economic models that form the basis of the content industry in the digital age. Ethical, social and psychological ramifications and tools for maintaining our autonomy and mental health.
Pride & Prejudice – tour
We will together examine labels that we tend to apply to communities and individuals in Jerusalem, and in general, by way of a tour in the Museum area.
