OUR MISSION
To illuminate a path of unity by fostering a culture of mutual respect, personal responsibility and the preservation of human dignity in Israel and throughout the world. The MOTJ will provide transformational educational and cultural programs, events and exhibits focused on building bridges among diverse peoples and the practical application of universal values that are spiritually rooted in Judaism and shared by other faiths.

OUR VISION
The Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem is an international embassy for peace, a spiritual lighthouse for human dignity, and a modern-day“ Abraham’s Tent” bridging local and global divides through interactive exhibits, dynamic events, and open dialogue. Our vision is to create a transformational impact on Israeli and international visitors by enabling them to better understand and appreciate other cultures and points of view and to facilitate peaceful coexistence for a more harmonious world.

WHO WE ARE
The Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem is an international embassy for peace that builds bridges between diverse cultures and religions. Just as Abraham, the patriarch of three major religions, invited visitors into his tent, the MOTJ beckons to and embraces individuals from varied backgrounds from all around the world. The MOTJ believes that as our civilization descended from one visionary, together we can manifest the reality of a shared and harmonious future.
Under the open tent of the MOTJ, millions of visitors, young and old, Jews, Christians, Muslims, people of other religions, or no religion at all, will gather to be re-inspired by the universal values that call upon us to protect our planet, and to create a better tomorrow for ourselves, our communities, and all of humanity.

WHAT WE STAND FOR
Light Unto The Nations
The MOTJ is dedicated to fulfilling the Jewish obligation to be an illuminating and inspiring example for humanity. Based in the heart of Jerusalem, the MOTJ provides a venue and platform for the promotion of interpersonal ethics in Israel and to the world.
Human Dignity, Respect for Humanity, and Mutual Responsibility
Every person is deserving of respect, recognition, and care. MOTJ places priority on “Mitzvot Bein Adam LeChavero”- the imperative to human decency – and on promoting the practical application of humanitarian values and the responsibility to care for others.
Education for Transformation and the Obligation of Deeds
The power of education goes beyond knowledge; it can shape opinions and can inspire action. MOTJ educational content and experiences focus on the real-world application of lessons learned, to create lasting and impactful ripples in the Jewish world and the global community.
Interfaith Harmony
MOTJ celebrates the shared values and faith of all Abrahamic religions. We stand committed to respectful dialogue, building bridges, fostering mutual understanding and unity, both within the Jewish people and among people of all faiths.

OUR BUILDING
MOTJ’s 161,000 square foot building is a work of contemporary art, whose very design conveys its central message of peace and coexistence. Built in the shape of a dove, the building represents the pursuit of peace and hope for a better future. Viewed from the front, the Museum also resembles a bridge running from East to West, symbolically “bridging the gap” between different peoples, cultures and religions.
Light streams into the Museum from expansive glass walls and windows on all sides and a skylight above, making visitors feel immediately welcome and at ease. In addition to magnificent permanent exhibit spaces, the building also features three technologically advanced theaters; greenrooms for speakers and performers; full banquet facilities with three kitchens and multiple food service areas; classrooms; a cafe and more.

THE PERFECT LOCATION
The Museum is located in Israel, at the center of the world, in Jerusalem, at the center of Israel, in the heart of the holy city. The Museum is indeed the center at the center of the World.
